  • Founder & CEO

    qwayacnit hakuum (Natalee Dennis) is a Nuu-chah-nulth artist, singer-songwriter, and storyteller from Ahousaht. Her music and artwork weave together ancestral teachings, contemporary sound, and a vision for Indigenous sovereignty and healing. As a performer, she has shared songs of resilience such as the Equality Song and Xexe Slhunheni’, blending traditional roots with contemporary artistry. Beyond the stage, hakuum serves as Senior Director of Indigenous Health at BC Emergency Health Services, advancing Indigenous-specific anti-racism and cultural safety across health systems. She is also co-leading Naas Foods, an Indigenous-owned kelp company, and founder of Hakuum Inc., dedicated to supporting emerging Indigenous artists and advancing Indigenous health sovereignty. Guided by ʔuuʔałuk (walking in balance) and hišukʔiš c̓awaak (interconnectedness), she uplifts future generations by carrying forward her naniqsuu’s teachings with love, strength, and joy.

    Tierra is a proud Nuučaanuł, Snuneymuxw, and Kwakwaka'wakw woman whose work lives at the intersection of business, creativity, and cultural sovereignty. Tierra guides strategic growth and innovation while ensuring every project is grounded in cultural integrity, sustainability, and intergenerational well-being.

    Recognized as an leader in launching Indigenous businesses, Tierra combines her background in business, marketing, and culturally attuned communications to elevate Indigenous ventures to the next level. She has led successful organizational growth, built brand strategies rooted in Indigenous knowledge, and developed platforms that amplify Indigenous voices across health, arts, and community-led enterprises.
